I've been on a tutorial video production binge as of late - they say the first step is admitting you have a problem. Although, I am fairly certain this isn't a problem. It is remarkable how efficient YouTube is at sharing helpful videos or advice with a range of people at a myriad of different levels, classrooms, and sites.
After speaking with the principals, we have determined that the average of fifteen minutes invested in the recording, production, publication, and distribution of an online tutorial video is time well spent. Instead of meeting with dozens of individuals to provide one-on-one assistance, I am able to promote my videos as guides in a matter of minutes - once. They are always available. They are accessible from any device. And, here's the kicker, you can choose what, when, and where you want to watch them! In a way, it's flipping the professional development. The resources are provided for you to learn at your pace and on your time - an interesting concept... If it's effective at the adult level, it will likely be effective at the child level. Our students have grown up with tablets in their hand and think nothing of jumping on YouTube to learn, be entertained, and to share. It's time to act a little more like our students. Let's all be consumers and producers of digital media! Do it well - do it right - and good things will result.

The Ux, or User Experience, is the overall emotions generated by the user of a product or service. A successful product or service satisfies the user because of the experience it creates. The Ux for Weebly is fantastic.
The Ui, or User Interface, is the way a user goes about interacting with a product or service. A successful product or service has an easy to use interface that is intuitive, simple but lush, and fosters a feeling of contentment. The Ui for Weebly is extraordinary. Weebly, the free website building service I use to make this website, brings the Ux and Ui together in a clean, simple, and easy-to-use free service. The results are gorgeous, current, and rich with a modern web design look and feel. If you are seeking to showcase your classroom, your students, and all their excellent learning, creating a class website with Weebly will produce a desirable, professional, and polished product any student, teacher, parent, or school would be proud to call their own. Ms. Bartholome, a kindergarten teacher at Pinecrest, was looking for an attractive and straight-forward way to collaborate with colleagues and share student creations with families. Over the course of one football game, she had built a kindergarten website from the ground up that is absolutely lovely. Check it out here! I was fortunate to be present as she revealed her website to her class. The students were thrilled to themselves on the screen. They were excited to know that their family, both near and far, can access this website and see what is going on in their classroom. It was a proud moment for everyone involved. If you have the desire to build a beautiful, free, simple to construct website, please consider turning to Weebly. They offer a premium product for free. Want to know more?
