For Digital Learning Day 2015, Hastings Elementary Students participated in a first-of-its-kind live digital learning event using their LearnPads. LearnPads logged on from all three elementary sites, tuned in to my live broadcast on YouTube, and followed the instructions presented to create, collaborate, and share their work wirelessly and remotely. Student progress was featured for all to see and in real time. First through fourth graders joined in the digital learning experience together. This has opened doors previously unimaginable! Please take a look at some of our highlights – if you’re in safety mode, scroll to the bottom of the screen and switch safe to off. (Start the above video and advance to these marks: 4:13, 5:45, 10:07, 13:53, 16:05, 20:57, 24:01, 24:42, 31:52, 44:32 – or watch the whole thing!)
We are doing some innovative and inspiring integration in ISD200! Let me know if you would like to go LIVE with your grade level district-wide for some collaborative, distance learning with LearnPad. It’s possible! I’m thankful, proud, and in awe of our talents, efforts, and drive.
