All classrooms have iPad technology - and this is a very good thing.
iPad is a personal device. It is something that is best used by a single individual, but can be shared when needed. As a teacher, an iPad is a mobile, collaborative, and interactive teaching and learning tool. Using Mirroring360, a screen mirroring software that is installed on your teacher desktop, the iPad screen can be shown through your projector. All classrooms will have a small set of iPads to use with students. We are not looking to digitize worksheets and simply substitute the work we are already doing. Instead, we are looking to try new avenues of learning that were previously impossible before this tech. Focus on creation and demonstrating understanding. Building, making, interacting, collaborating, and sharing. These are the skills our iPads are intended to be used to access. Check out the SAMR Model to begin thinking about iPads in a new and more appropriate way. |
